Saturday, February 12th, 2011: Veteran Diaz, Seattle Complete Deal
Juanito Diaz might be in the twilight of his career, but he is not going to leave the stage before the final act. Today the 39-year-old scribbled his signature on a $10,670,000-a-year deal with the Stingrays.

Some fans openly questioned the signing, saying they would prefer the club use its resources on younger talent.

In his 1066-game career Diaz has tagged 1248 hits with 193 doubles, 11 triples and 170 home runs. His lifetime batting average is .305 with 704 RBIs and 627 runs scored.

Tuesday, February 8th, 2011: Star 3B Signs Extension with Seattle
Johnnie Iraq might be greedy, but there's no disputing his talent. The hotshot third baseman will pocket $55,000,000 after re-signing with the Stingrays earlier today, and will hang around another 5 years.

Some more financially prudent fans worried that the signing would burden the club down the road and might prevent it from being competitive, though many others were simply thankful that Iraq didn't bolt.

In his career Iraq has gotten 978 hits with a .298 batting average, scored 522 runs, hit 157 home runs and driven in 509.

Friday, February 4th, 2011: Seattle Wins Lottery for SP Highland
A wave of jubilation swept over Seattle today as fans and team officials celebrated the signing of Oliver Highland.

Despite the fact that the Seattle Stingrays will have to pay out $27,000,000 over 3 years, he will certainly draw fans to the park. Let's just hope they don't crank up ticket prices!
