| Breaking News |  | Monday, June 13th, 2011: Philadelphia, Houston Confirm Trade
Trade winds have been blowing through Philadelphia. This time, a deal has materialized between the Mavericks and Apollos. According to sources inside the organization, Philadelphia will ship 23-year old third baseman Jerry Anderson and a 2nd round draft pick to Houston for 33-year old reliever Elliott Smith and 29-year old closer Mike Worthley.
This year Anderson has hit at a .231 pace and produced 6 RBIs, 2 home runs and scored 6 runs.
So far this year, Worthley has chalked up 13 saves. In 19 relief appearances, he has 20 strikeouts in 20.1 innings with a 0.89 ERA. His season won-lost mark is 2-0.

 | Monday, May 23rd, 2011: #400 for Burke
Pilgrims third baseman Bill Burke reached a career milestone yesterday, blasting home run number 400.
He took the achievement in stride. "It's always good to get another home run and even better to get another win," Burke told reporters in the postgame interview.
He went 2-3 during the Boston 8-4 triumph over the Philadelphia Mavericks and scored 2 runs with 5 RBI.
Burke has put up a career batting average of .290 with 2066 hits, 401 homers and 1361 RBIs.

 | Monday, May 23rd, 2011: FL Player of the Week Awarded
Pablo Orozco has the tools to stick in this league for many years. The 22-year-old right fielder of the Philadelphia Mavericks had a pretty fair bat in the Freedom League over the past seven days and won the Player of the Week honors.
Orozco batted .667 with 16 hits in 24 at-bats, 4 home runs and 15 RBIs.
This season Orozco is swinging the bat at a .316 rate with 50 hits in 158 at-bats. To date he has hit 9 home runs, scored 25 runs and driven in 31.
