| Breaking News |  | Wednesday, June 8th, 2011: Scorchers Chapman Has 15 Ks Phoenix got the best of the Pittsburgh Piranhas today at The Fish Bowl. They won the game 4-1 behind the fine pitching of Jerry Chapman, who totaled 15 strikeouts in a sensational outing. Chapman notched the victory by holding the Piranhas to 4 hits, while giving up no walks.
In season stats Chapman shows a 7-2 record in 12 games, 78 innings, 85 strikeouts and a 2.54 ERA. |  | Friday, May 27th, 2011: Razor-Sharp Molina Blanks Pittsburgh Ralph Molina of the New York Gothams shut out the Pittsburgh Piranhas 2-0, held them to 4 hits with 2 walks and 12 strikeouts. Molina said, "I could throw any pitch on any count."
The Pittsburgh skipper called his game a jewel, saying, "The way he was pitching, it would have been tough for anyone to beat him."
Currently Molina has a 7-1 won-lost record in 11 starts with a 1.90 ERA. He also has 120 strikeouts in 80.2 innings. |  | Friday, May 6th, 2011: Pichardo Records Shutout Against Pipeliners Everything clicked on the hill today for Antonio Pichardo of the Pittsburgh Piranhas as he hurled his club to a 8-0 shutout win over the Alaska Pipeliners, limiting them to 4 hits while recording 3 strikeouts and yielding no walks. He overpowered some batters with his fastball and buckled knees with his sharp breaking pitches.
"We had our shot at him a couple of different times," the Pipeliners manager said, "but we weren't able to get to him."
