In the Alaska-Pittsburgh game he sustained the injury while throwing a pitch. "I'm disappointed more than anything," he told reporters later in the day. Opposing clubs are batting .251 against him and he has 86 strikeouts. | | Saturday, June 4th, 2011: Cardoza Pitches Hawaii to Shutout Victory "Sometimes I was smart... and sometimes just a little lucky." The 21-year-old Bower brought his top game to the mound, striking out 15 batters while allowing 4 hits and no walks.
"He made a lot of good pitches out there," the Hawaii manager said. "He made some of our guys look bad. We didn't help matters by swinging at everything, but we really have to give him credit -- he didn't make many mistakes."

Opposing clubs are batting .135 against him and he has 124 strikeouts. | | | Injuries | | Player | Injury | Out for... | Disabled List Status | | P Esteban García | hyperextended elbow | 5 weeks | Not on DL | | | Team Information | | Record overall | 36-26, .581 PCT | | Position in Division | 1st, - GB | | Record at home | 18-13, .581 PCT | | Record on the road | 18-13, .581 PCT | | Record in X-inning games | 4-5, .444 PCT | | Record in one-run games | 9-10, .474 PCT | | Record versus LHP | 12-4, .750 PCT | | Record versus RHP | 24-22, .522 PCT | | Record last 10 games | 7-3, .700 PCT | | Record in April | 15-8, .652 PCT | | Record in May | 14-15, .483 PCT | | Record in June | 7-3, .700 PCT |
