Juan Arredondo shut 'em down and shut 'em out, hurling Hollywood past Myrtle Beach 10-0 in a complete game victory.
He told BNN sportswriters in the postgame interview, "This is a game of adjustments and I made some good ones in this game."
Arredondo held the Myrtle Beach Blue Demons without a run, tossing a 6-hitter while walking 0 and fanning 5.
His record this year is 8-2 in 10 starts and Arredondo has a 0.85 ERA.

| Wednesday, June 1st, 2011: Hollywood's Starter Receives UL Pitching Award
Over the past month Juan Arredondo has turned quite a few heads. He's young, talented and able to pitch with the established arms in the United League. He proved all that and now he's been named May's Pitcher of the Month.
The rookie for the Hollywood Stars posted 5-1 mark and a 0.91 ERA. In 6 starts he tossed 49.1 innings, permitted 27 hits and fanned 44 batters.
To date this season Arredondo is 7-2 with 9 starts and an ERA of 0.96 with 53 strikeouts in 75.1 innings.

Ryan McDonald of the Hollywood Stars not only shut out Gulf Coast 11-0, he made it look effortless. McDonald stopped them on 1 hit to help the Stars cruise past the Privateers. His performance included 12 strikeouts and no walks.
This year McDonald has worked 66 innings with 85 strikeouts en route to a 6-2 record and 0.95 ERA.
