 | Monday, June 1st, 2009: Michael Sharp Named LL Rookie of Month With May's Liberty League Rookie of the Month title slung over his shoulder, Michael Sharp has no reason to be modest about his statistical output. But he was, telling SION reporters, "I just put the bat on the ball a lot and a lot of them fell in. It was just my month to shine." The 21-year-old blistered the baseball last month as he posted a .447 batting average, 46 hits, 5 home runs, 26 RBIs and 23 runs scored. In 45 games this season Sharp has batted at a .414 pace with 75 hits and 7 home runs. |
