 | Wednesday, July 1st, 2009: LL Announces Rookie of the Month Michael Sharp's eyes seem to light up whenever he sees the baseball. The young New Orleans catcher has been hitting everything in sight for the better part of a month. In June he was voted the Rookie of the Month Award. During the month he hit .365 with 6 doubles, no triples and 2 home runs. Sharp also scored 14 times and drove in 18 runs. Sharp is batting .398 in 2009 with 9 home runs, 65 RBIs and 43 runs scored. He has 106 hits in 266 at-bats. |
