 | Wednesday, August 12th, 2009: 5-Hit Game for Darcy! "Ever since I picked up my first bat my coaches were always saying to keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing... just make contact and ya never know what'll happen," San Antonio's Aaron Darcy told reporters after the game. "That's all I did today. I made contact and it turned out well." It definitely turn out well for Darcy today as he collected 5 hits in 6 at-bats against New Orleans. It turned out well for his team, too, as the Gunslingers knocked off the Ragin' Cajuns 12-3 at Alamo Stadium. A. Darcy hit a solo-shot off M. Trevino in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and struck out in the 8th. Presently Darcy is batting .321 and has collected 11 home runs, 51 RBIs, .412 OBP and scored 90 runs. |
