Thursday, February 4th, 2010: SP Schuff Jr. Settles on Houston
Fans in Houston ushered in Dave Schuff Jr. today as their new starting pitcher. The 38-year-old came to terms with the Apollos and will be hauling in $5,750,000 a year over 2 years.

In his career Schuff Jr. has fashioned a 98-103 mark, 4.06 ERA and thrown 1834.2 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .765 lifetime against him and he has logged 1526 career strikeouts.

Thursday, September 24th, 2009: Houston's Eames Demanding Trade?
Rumors circulating around town, say shortstop Justin Eames is not happy at all playing in Houston and that the Apollos are actively shopping him around.

Monday, September 21st, 2009: Liberty League Names #1 Player
This week's standout performer in the Liberty League was center fielder Brent Calloway of the Houston Apollos.

He belted out a .556 average and was voted the Player of the Week. Over the last week Calloway collected 15 hits in 27 at-bats and 4 home runs, drove in 9 runs and scored 10 times.

So far this season Calloway has hit .297 with 18 home runs, 93 RBIs and and scored 105 times.
