Saturday, March 2nd, 2013: New Orleans Ragin' Cajuns, Suns Agree to Trade
Signed. Sealed. Delivered.
New Orleans has worked out terms of a deal to send 22-year old minor league starting pitcher Greg Morris and 23-year old minor league reliever Tracy Ladner to Jacksonville for 30-year old starting pitcher Florencio Viveiros. Both teams expect to introduce the players to their new teammates within a day or two.

Reviewing his career stats, Viveiros has worked 1851.1 innings with 1667 strikeouts en route to a 129-71 record. The 30-year-old also has a 3.29 ERA.

Saturday, March 2nd, 2013: Veteran Valverde Agrees to 2-Year Deal
Carlos Valverde might be in the twilight of his career, but he is not going to leave the stage before the final act. Today the 37-year-old scribbled his signature on a $2,250,000-a-year deal with the Ragin' Cajuns.

Some fans openly questioned the signing, saying they would prefer the club use its resources on younger talent.

In 1795 games Valverde has a career .260 batting average and a .325 on-base percentage. He has hit 141 home runs with 817 RBIs and 689 runs scored.

Saturday, February 9th, 2013: $$$ Keeps Superstar McBride in New Orleans
Team officials triumphantly announced that the Ragin' Cajuns and superstar right fielder Ralph McBride have closed a deal that keeps the 22-year-old in a New Orleans uniform for another 8 years.

McBride will earn $112,000,000 as part of the settlement.

In his career stats McBride has compiled a .303 batting average and collected 393 hits, 92 home runs and 282 RBIs.
