| Breaking News | | Sunday, October 31st, 2010: Knights Beat Gothams in USBA World Championship
It was a storybook year for the Columbus Knights as they closed out a 4-3 series win over the New York Gothams to claim the 2010 USBA World Championship. They wrapped it up with a 12-2 victory to cap an incredible season and brought home their 1st championship.
The Knights manager gave his view of the series, "We had a lot of things going for us, offense and defense doing it at the right time. That's what it takes to win a USBA World Championship."
"We're disappointed we lost, but we're also very proud of what we did all year," said the Gothams manager. "They played better baseball than us and they beat us."
During the Liberty League Yankee regular season Columbus put up a 105-57 record and finished first.

No one hit Liberty League pitching at a better clip than Columbus's Ricky Booth in 2010. Playing in 159 games this year's batting champ registered a .368 average with 238 hits, 22 home runs and 93 RBIs.

| Friday, October 1st, 2010: LL Presents Batter of Month Trophy to Booth
When Ricky Booth stepped up to the plate in September, he did it with confidence and today he was honored with the Liberty League Batter of the Month award.
The young Columbus center fielder posted a .414 batting average with 6 home runs, 22 RBIs and scored 28 runs. Booth also worked pitchers for 11 walks to post a .467 on-base percentage.
This year Booth has batted at a .367 pace with 234 hits, 22 home runs, 92 RBIs and scored 131 times.
