| Breaking News |  | Wednesday, September 1st, 2010: Montoya Cops #1 Pitcher Award in August Walter Montoya has made fans throughout USBA Triple A take notice over the past month with an exceptional 6-0 record. No pitcher in the Patriot League threw better in August, garnering him the Pitcher of the Month award today.
In 6 starts Montoya compiled a 1.84 ERA, putting up a 6-0 record, striking out 21 and tossing 44 innings.
This season Montoya has a 8-6 mark in 17 starts with a 4.57 ERA. He has given up 128 hits in 110.1 innings, struck out 50 and issued 38 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .291 batting average against him. |  | Friday, August 13th, 2010: Lara on Fire, 5-5 Against Barrow History in the making. That's what the fans at Delegates Ballpark got to see today, when Trenton outplayed the Blizzard 10-6. Rodrigo Lara of the Terror came to the plate 5 times and came away with a dynamite day as he exploded for 5 hits against Barrow.
In the postgame press conference the Barrow skipper quipped to reporters, "Hey, we tried to get him out. We threw everything but the kitchen sink against him and he hit it. Maybe we should've thrown the kitchen sink."
R. Lara singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off D. Quigley in the 7th.
This year Lara has socked 49 hits in 185 at-bats for a .265 average with 2 home runs. He is getting on base at a .338 pace and his totals also include 17 RBIs and 23 runs scored. |  | Sunday, August 8th, 2010: Erickson Goes 5-7 "It was almost like batting practice. I saw the ball very well and could just about hit it anywhere I wanted." That's what Trenton center fielder Morton Erickson said to BNN reporters after his fantastic 5-7 day against the Portland Sea Dogs at Delegates Ballpark. "I got some good counts and used the whole field."
The Terror had a good day, too, and won the ballgame 17-10.
M. Erickson hit a solo-shot off J. Unknown in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, struck out in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th, singled in the 9th and flied out in the 9th.
