| Breaking News | | Sunday, August 22nd, 2010: Mathews Shines in Gem Damien Mathews of the Edinburgh Lancers was on fire against Malibu. He shut them down 7-0 on 1 hit and no runs with 10 strikeouts and no walks.
"The first two pitches I'm looking for an out, a ground ball or a fly ball," Mathews said. "I'm trying to get quick outs. I've never been a big believer in trying to strike a guy out from the very first pitch. It's too easy to end up behind in the count doing that."
To date this season Mathews is 13-6 with 26 starts and an ERA of 4.12 with 124 strikeouts in 161.2 innings. | | Tuesday, July 27th, 2010: Llamas Razor-Sharp, Shuts out Malibu Silicon Valley's Bradley Llamas used his full arsenal today to shoot down Malibu 6-0. All day long, he exhibited fine command of all his pitches, giving up no walks and striking out 7. Llamas allowed the Malibu 6 hits in the victory.
Llamas has earned no saves and a 8-9 mark this season with a 3.32 earned run average in no relief appearances. He has worked 154.2 innings, yielded 137 hits, struck out 95 batters and walked 44. | | Thursday, July 1st, 2010: Park Batters Carolina for 5 Hits James Park was unstoppable, but his club, the Nightmare, was not unbeatable. Despite his hitting heroics they lost to the Carolina Mudcats 9-6. He battered them for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. His only consolation will be a boost in his batting average and a brief mention in the record book.
Park just shook his head after the game, saying to the BNN reporters, "It's the team with the most runs that wins... not the most hits."
J. Park singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 8th and hit a two-run home run off D. Laskey in the 9th.
For 2010 Park is batting .324 with 1 home run, 4 RBIs and 4 runs scored. | | | Pitching Staff | | Role | Throws | Pitcher | W | L | SV | ERA | | | | Team Information | | Record overall | 0-0, .000 PCT | | Position in Division | 1st, - GB | | Record at home | 0-0, .000 PCT | | Record on the road | 0-0, .000 PCT | | Record in X-inning games | 0-0, .000 PCT | | Record in one-run games | 0-0, .000 PCT | | Record versus LHP | 0-0, .000 PCT | | Record versus RHP | 0-0, .000 PCT | | Record last 10 games | 0-0, .000 PCT |
