| Breaking News |  | Monday, August 16th, 2010: Anjo at His Best, Blanks Monterey
Altoona pitcher Teodósio Anjo blanked the Monterey Sails 7-0, tossing a 2-hitter while issuing no walks and collecting 7 strikeouts.
After his sharp shutout performance, he said that he gives a lot of the credit to his batterymate. "Me and him are just locked in out there. He's so great at having a feel for hitters. I couldn't do what I'm doing without him."
In 2010 Anjo has compiled a 8-11 mark with a 4.49 ERA in 24 starts.

 | Saturday, August 7th, 2010: Fuller and Jackson Fight, Suspended 7 Games
When fights happen, suspensions are not far behind. That axiom was held to be true today when Altoona's Barry Fuller and Naperville's Jeremiah Jackson were given a temporary vacation from the game, courtesy of the league commissioner's office.
They both were suspended for 7 games for their actions in a recent ruckus between the two teams. Both benches cleared when Fuller charged Jackson.
Both players have accepted their fate and will begin serving their suspensions immediately. Neither would talk to reporters about the confrontation.
This season Fuller is hitting .361 with 17 home runs.

 | Sunday, August 1st, 2010: Dennis Batters Mobile for 5 Hits
Altoona right fielder Melvin Dennis really lit up the Mobile Marauders with a 5-hit barrage today at Scandals Ballpark -- a performance that sparked the Curve to a 11-4 triumph.
He shrugged off the performance after the game and said, "Sometimes the ball finds outfielders, today the ball found some holes."
M. Dennis singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, hit a two-run double in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off J. Unknown in the 8th.
In 2010 Dennis has hit at a .334 clip with 124 hits, 5 home runs, 66 RBIs and has scored 56 times.
