José Cantú of the Chesapeake Panthers really strutted his stuff on the mound today with a 4-0 victory. He was almost untouchable, bewildering the Connellsville Patriots with a 4-hit shutout in which he struck out 6 and gave up 1 walk.
In season stats Cantú shows a 10-8 record in 23 games, 164 innings, 139 strikeouts and a 2.30 ERA.

It was a dismal game for the Patriots with Brad Evans on the hill. The Texarkana starter was in top form and made it a long day for Connellsville with a 5-0 shutout. He surrendered a total of 6 hits and piled up 9 strikeouts to pick up the win in a route-going effort.
